I designed this candle to encourage you to pause and dwell with God in the midst of your busy life. I want you to be able to light it to help cultivate your time in the word and in meditation as a cue to your mind to slow down and refocus.
How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of hosts! My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts,my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about [dwell on] these things.
My heart for this design is to be a constant reminder that peace comes from the Lord, not from our circumstances. I envision you pouring your morning coffee, the weight of your day ahead on your mind, but you see the words perfect peace and remember to surrender your day to Him. The items we allow in our homes have an impact on us. Why not surround yourself with truth?
You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
My desire for this journal is to give you a space to record your prayers, joys, struggles.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
